Evangelic Girl is a Gun sees Ćmiel putting their own “cyborgian” spin on Bristol trip-hop and ‘90s gothic. The album features production from A.G. Cook, Chris Greatti, Mura Masa, Clams Casino, Fitnesss and Kin Leonn, Ćmiel’s trusted collaborator and co-executive producer of 2023’s softscars. yeule’s untreated vocals on the album also contribute to a sense of burning authenticity; rawness emerges as they abandon Auto-Tune. This jarring artistic styling is a turn from their glitchy previous works. As a counter to the emergence of AI, they wanted to imbue their vocals with a “raw, irreplaceable edge".
yeule will be embarking on a full North American tour following the release of Evangelic Girl is a Gun. Their previous albums, softscars and Glitch Princess, have both been named Best New Music by Pitchfork, with softscars landing at #10 on the year end album list and Glitch Princess being named one of the best albums of the decade so far.
Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley has your back, dropping the grungy delight “She Hates Me.” Landing somewhere between Whitley and Weezer, the new track features Bentley's patented style of country with a mischievous edge, plus the tongue-twisting story of a girl who is no longer falling for his country-boy charm. “She Hates Me” was penned at a writing camp last spring by Bentley and longtime collaborators Ashley Gorley, Ross Copperman and Chase McGill and falls in line with the spirit of previous hits “Somewhere On A Beach” and “Drunk On A Plane.”
His career has produced eight Number One albums, 22 Number One songs, more than nine billion global streams, plus 15 GRAMMY® nominations and membership in the historic Grand Ole Opry. Beyond that, millions of fans have connected to his songs featuring equal parts energy and emotion, and tastemakers around the nation continue to hail Bentley as one of country’s most authentic entertainers.

Los Angeles – April 11, 2025 – Award-winning international superstar, songwriter, singer, New York Times best-selling author, current Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame nominee and the best-selling female artist of all time, Mariah Carey, is continuing the 20th anniversary celebration of her iconic, multi-platinum 10th album, The Emancipation of Mimi, home to era-defining pop/R&B singles “It’s Like That,” “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” “Say Somethin’,” “Fly Like A Bird,” and “Get Your Number,” with a 20th anniversary of her modern classic.
Arriving May 30 via Def Jam Records/UMe, the marquee release of The Emancipation of Mimi (20th Anniversary Edition) A deluxe 2LP vinyl set will also be available, such as the hit single “Don’t Forget About Us,” “Makin’ It Last All Night (What It Do),” “Secret Love,” and “Sprung.”
“I'm really happy to celebrate ‘Mimi's Emancipation’ with this special anniversary re-release,” says Mariah. “While working on this edition, I got to relive all the memories from this pivotal moment in my personal and professional life. This album has some of my biggest hits to date, as well as some personal favorites that are very special to me. Forgotten gems.
From the original album to the Ultra Platinum Edition, released just seven months later due to the global smash success of Emancipation, to the many singles loaded with vivacious and effervescent dance, house and club remixes, sumptuous instrumentals, jaw-dropping acapellas, and thrilling collaborations with an incredible array of guests artists, including Jay Z, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, N.O.R.E., Fabolous, Style P, and others, Mariah presented, evolved and refreshed the music of The Emancipation of Mimi in unique and innovative ways. This lavish box set fully encapsulates the breadth of this exciting era while also offering fans new creations alongside unheard rarities.
Released on April 12, 2005, through Island/Def Jam Records, The Emancipation of Mimi found Mariah collaborating with the era’s most sought-after talent, including Jermaine Dupri, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Twista, Nelly, Pharrell Williams and The Neptunes, and James "Big Jim" Wright. It is widely regarded by fans as her critically acclaimed “comeback” project.
An overwhelming triumph on both a personal and professional level, The Emancipation of Mimi marked Mariah’s reclamation of her throne as the reigning queen of pop and R&B. From the bass-rattling beats and sparkling vocals in opener “It’s Like That” to the slinky mid-tempo “Shake It Off” and the all-time romantic ballad “We Belong Together” (which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a whopping 14 weeks – the longest of any song during the 2000s – and was later declared by the magazine “song of the decade”), The Emancipation of Mimi was not so much about recounting her industry struggles as it was a pop icon doing what she does best. In that way, The Emancipation of Mimi was a masterclass in “show, don’t tell,” as Mariah and a trusted group of peers rolled out 14 tracks with breezy beats, soaring powerhouse vocals, and of-the-moment production that sounds as fresh in 2025 as it did in 2005.
Soaring to No. 1 with more than 404,000 copies sold in its first week of release, The Emancipation of Mimi was Mariah’s first album since 1997’s Butterfly to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, ultimately becoming the best-selling album of 2005 in the U.S with nearly five million units sold. Globally, it was the world's second best-selling album of the year and it reached the top five in Canada, Denmark, France, and Japan. The Ultra Platinum Edition, released in November 2005 with several new tracks, including the towering “Don’t Forget About Us,” would keep the album in the top 5 for many more months and give Mariah her 17th No. 1 hit, trying her with Elvis Presley for the most No. 1 singles by a solo artist (a record she’d eventually surpass). Collectively, the two albums would earn her ten GRAMMY Award nominations: eight in 2006 for the original release (the most received by Mariah in a single year), including the big three: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year (“We Belong Together); and two in 2007 for the Ultra Platinum Edition. In 2006, Mariah took home trophies for Best Contemporary R&B album and Best R&B Song and Best Female Vocal Performance for “We Belong Together.”
Today, The Emancipation of Mimi has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, making it both the best-selling album of Mariah’s career and one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century.
With the resounding success of her 24-show Las Vegas residency, “The Celebration of Mimi,” which wrapped in February and will continue as a worldwide tour this year with stops in England, Brazil, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines, with more cities to come, and now this stunning new box set, The Emancipation of Mimi continues to remain as relevant and vital two decades after the legendary, and current Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee, Mariah Carey, freed herself from the constrictions and expectations of the industry and listened to her heart to create a timeless masterpiece filled with heart, soul and her incredible, peerless vocals.

Heartbreaker” that “kicks down the door of this next musical chapter” (American Songwriter) and the title track, “Honkytonk Hollywood.” 2 LP set on forest green color vinyl. Limited Edition. Available at Indie Retailers.
Bon Iver’s three-song collection SABLE, was a prologue mired in darkness, a controlled burn clearing the way for new possibilities. fABLE is the book that follows. Where SABLE, was a work of solitude, fABLE is an outstretched hand. Radiant, ornate pop music gleams around Vernon’s voice as he focuses on a new and beautiful era.
Forever Howlong is Black Country, New Road’s first studio release since 2022's UK #3 album Ants From Up There, which gave the band their second Top 5 UK album in 12 months alongside their Mercury Prize shortlisted debut For the first time, and follows 2023's Live at Bush Hall, an album The Guardian claimed was a “magical resurgence” in a triumphant five-star review. Now, on studio album three, the band are once again building from the ground up in yet another miraculous musical transformation.
The long-awaited new record was produced by James Ford (Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur) and sees Black Country, New Road settled into a new shape in which vocal duties – and most of the song writing – is split between Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery, and May Kershaw. “It created a real through line for the album, having three girls singing," says Ellery. "It's definitely very different to Ants From Up There, because of the female perspective - and the music we've made also compliments that."
Forever Howlong is an ambitious, meticulously detailed record that includes everything from folk to prog via baroque pop and touches of alt-rock – with nods to everything from Joanna Newsom to Randy Newman via Fiona Apple and Janis Ian – yet all the while retaining that unmistakably unique sound that only this combination of musicians can come up with. Although hugely varied and expansive, the album also feels deeply cohesive and focused, as it takes three distinct voices and styles and seamlessly intersperses them into a new collective sound.

Rhiannon Giddens, Justin Robinson - What Did the Blackbird Say to the Crow - Nonesuch Records
Justin Robinson and Rhiannon Giddens are two of the few people from the Black community caretaking Joe Thompson’s family tradition of fiddle and banjo music. For both, their Black banjo bodylands are primarily rooted in the North Carolina Piedmont, where Joe mentored them. The term “Black banjo bodylands” describes the deep connection between banjos, land, and the Black musicians who breathe life into them. Intimate engagements with place, nature, and community around this musical practice are essential to the tradition’s continuation. These bodylands constitute not just the individual player but the traditions, knowledge, and spirit handed down from their musical ancestors. On What Did the Blackbird Say to the Crow, Rhiannon Giddens and Justin Robinson simply chose to bring the places and people—even the season—with them. Heralded by the cawing of American crows, shot through with the round thrumming of periodical cicadas, these recordings represent the music exactly as it is: a particularly engaging piece of a particular place’s rich sonic ecosystem. Giddens and Robinson emphasize place, communication and collaboration in these sound offerings from the North Carolina Piedmont homes of Joe Thompson and Etta Baker and the historic Mill Prong House. This record is not about flashy arrangements, or displays of virtuosity for its own sake. It’s about the relaxed, understated flow that arises at the junction of long friendship, a sense of belonging, and monstrous technical proficiency. We make this music, we make it together, and we make it here. This record refuses to be removed.

After releasing multiple albums and touring the world with his band, the 400 Unit, Isbell will begin 2025 with a change of pace. He will hit the road on his own, performing solo this winter and early spring at historic music venues across Europe and the US. In conjunction with these much anticipated shows, Isbell will be releasing a new album featuring only his voice and an acoustic guitar, an all-mahogany 1940 Martin 0-17. These recordings further demonstrate his pure talent as a songwriter and musician. Produced by Gena Johnson and Jason Isbell, and recorded at Electric Lady Studios in NYC, ‘Foxes in the Snow’ is set to be released on March 7th.

Architects - The Sky, The Earth & All Between - Epitaph
ARCHITECTS are back and charging forward in the heavy rock world with their latest sonic masterpiece, The Sky, The Earth & All Between. After two relentless years on the road—featuring massive European summer tours with Metallica and top billing at festival stages across North America, from Sonic Temple to Aftershock—the band has returned to the studio to deliver their most powerful collection of songs yet. With the creative force of Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon) behind the boards, ARCHITECTS have captured the explosive energy of their live performances while elevating their signature melodic edge. This album reflects the perfect blend of raw intensity, emotional depth, and innovative production. Already making waves, singles like “Curse” and “Seeing Red” have drawn rave reviews from Metal Injection, Alternative Press, and Loudwire. Idobi crowned “Seeing Red” an “anthem powerhouse,” and the track’s global success landed it in the top 10 of charts worldwide—amassing over 45 million streams along the way. The Sky, The Earth & All Between builds on the momentum of their 2022 album, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit, which stormed to the top of the UK Rock and Metal Charts. With this new release, Architects are once again set to push the boundaries of modern heavy music, cementing their status as one of the most exciting and essential bands of our time.
Lola Young - This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway - Island
Lola Young - "This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway" [Clear LP] "Here is my first-born child, a fuck you to all my exes, and basically me just trying to figure out some shit openly and honestly on record. First of many and if you don't like it, then this wasn't meant for you anyway." - Lola Young This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway marks a remarkable shift in Lola's sound as an artist. Recorded in LA and produced by friend and collaborator Solomonophic (Remi Wolf, BROCKHAMPTON, Dominic Fike), This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway is a multi-faceted, fearless concept. As irresistible as it is unexpected, Lola's album is crackling with kinetic energy and lyrically fueled by rage, passion, narrative flair and comedy derision. A contemporary break-up album, This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway encapsulates the sound of what it means to be young and in constant romantic chaos. Released in June 2024, the album is now available on clear vinyl.
